Charming pair of neo-Gothic mahogany CHAIRS resting on two double Jacob's baluster legs at the front and two saber feet at the back, the back finely carved with lancets and poly-lobed spandrels, the perimeter punctuated with scrolls. The seat is decorated with foliage on a black background, one embroidered with a medallion of fantastic birds. Stamped "E. ROCHARD". Circa 1830 (braid to be replaced, slight accident to one foot, very slight wear).
